I grew up in Hampshire and lived in Reading before moving to the beautiful riverside town of Dartmouth in Devon. I still feel like I’m on holiday.
I trained as a journalist, then went into teaching (kept meeting the sixth form students in the pub, awkward!). After that I ‘fell’ into recruitment, spending more years there than I care to mention, where the most creative thing I did was to create a sexy top line for job adverts! I’m currently moonlighting in the local bookshop…
Also, COYS, Cats, Metal. Underneath this preppy exterior beats the heart of a rock chick.
A few of my favourite things:
My cats – I am a cat mother to Corey (named after Slipknot’s Mr Taylor) and Elsa (not named after the Frozen princess, but her favourite toy is called Olaf!).
Tottenham Hotspur – I have been a Spurs fan ever since the 1987 FA Cup Final when I felt sorry for Gary Mabbutt (Google it if you’re interested to find out why!). COYS!
Music – GnFnR, Biffy Clyro, Slipknot, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, All American Rejects, Frank Turner, Manic Street Preachers, The Blackout. I am a rock chick and will spend a weekend each June in a muddy field in the East Midlands.
